Competitions and prizes

The Compugene Studentlab entered cometition for ideas at the TU Darmstadt hosted by the HIGHEST innovation and start up centre shortly after its foundation. In the competition we won the third prize with our project idea “Virotect” which described the concept for the research currently being done in our lab. Goal of this research is the development of a const-efficient and user-friendly test detecting denue virus as well as other deadly viruses in the future.

Furthermore, presenting the current results of our project, we won a prize for the best poster at the Curious conference 2024. This conference is a well-known scientific conference originally launched by the Merck group, an international company developing products for Life science, Healthcare and Electronics. Most visitors were especially suprised by our unique setup and impressed by the results we could show up to that pooint.

We are extremely happy, that so many people were fascinated by and confident in our research in the past and are constantly working to implemet our research in real world applications.
